There are 17 national wine days throughout the year—that's a lot of great excuses to celebrate wine in Greater Lansing! We've listed out some of the area's best spots to sip wine. Be sure to head down to the bottom of this list for wine related events!

Unique Spots

Downtown Social District

The newest thing to head to Greater Lansing are social districts. Patrons are now allowed to grab a drink from nearby restaurants and bars and sip, stroll or enjoy it al fresco (as long as you are within certain designated boundaries of the district). Downtown Lansing's district includes Rotary Park's urban beach, with tons of colorful seating and a place to dip your toes in the sand while you sip on some wine. You can grab a glass at the nearby MP Social, who offers Wine Wednesdays, or at Lansing Brewing Company, whose wine is made exclusively for them.

Don't miss the Afterglow Market every Friday evening, now until September 3, 2021.

REO Town Social District

The vibrant, artsy neighborhood of REO Town is also a designated social district. You can grab a glass at Sleepwalker Spirits and Ale, where their wine is produced on-site as well as fresh sandwiches, pizza and a Pasta Vino Wednesday special. Stroll REO Town's unique shopping district with your glass and find murals, art installations and many places to stop and chill.

Don't miss REO Town Marketplace which features over 9,000 sq. feet of one-of-a-kind shopping.

Burgdorf's Winery

Located in Haslett, Burgdorf's quiet, country atmosphere is a beautiful place to do some wine tasting. Walk into their tasting room and find unique wine accessories and a wide selection of specialty wines (many of which are produced and bottled onsite). You may select up to four wines to taste or if you know what you like grab a glass and head outside to their spacious outdoor seating area. With plenty of shady spots to choose from you are sure to relax and enjoy each sip.

Don't miss their 16 years anniversary celebration! Enjoy good food, local artists and live music while sampling many delicious wines and featuring a wine slush!

Uncle John's Cider Mill

This award wining family farm has plenty of activities to keep you occupied—sunflower picking in the summer, pumpkin patches in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter. And for the winos out there, a winery and tasting room where you can sample a great selection of fruit, grape, sparkling and dessert wines. Located in St. Johns, you will find the perfect rustic venue where you can enjoy a nice glass of fruit flavored wine while watching the sun set on the orchard.

Don't miss downtown St. Johns Fall Feastival on September 18, 2021 where you can sample and shop many Michigan-Made food producers, farms, and food trucks!

Notable Restaurants

Greater Lansing boasts some of the best wine lists in the area. Like at Bordeaux, whose tagline starts with Wine—Wine. Food. Spirits. Inspired by the amazing synergy between food and wine, Bordeaux’s Cork room boasts over 70 labels. Or have a glass in Capital Prime's private wine room or cozy up next to one of their fireplaces located in the outdoor patio and their four-season room. Their WineKeeper® temperature-controlled system keeps wines fresh and perfectly preserved. Other notable wine lists include Dusty's Wine Bar, The English InnEnVie, Red Haven, Soup Spoon Café and the State Room Restaurant. The best part—they also have amazing food menus!
