There's so much that's been missing from our lives for the last year or so. For sure it's hugging and visiting with friends and family. Maybe it's enjoying a sporting event in person. We've certainly had our fill of Netflix, TikTok and YouTube. Hopefully we've completed all our home-based projects after watching a ton of HGTV. It's time to get out of the house. Are you ready? Let's take a look at what the Lansing area has to offer in the world of live outdoor entertainment. Get these on your calendar and buy your tickets now!

Chain of Compassion - Lansing ART path

2020 ARTpath

During the summer of 2020, Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center and the city of Lansing will partner to bring temporary, site-specific artwork to 19 sites along 3.5 miles of the Lansing River Trail from REO Town to Old Town and through downtown Lansing. ARTpath is a competitive exhibition and features installations by Michigan artists.

Stroll through the campus of Lansing Community College in downtown Lansing and you can't help but stop and admire over a dozen colorful sculptures strategically placed around every corner. Inspirational, evocative and whimsical, these works of art create a welcoming and even happy environment. Art, it's been said, can increase mental acuity, increase critical thinking and reduce stress levels. Surrounding students with art then, seems to be a very good idea.

Walk around in downtown Lansing and you can find an abundance of details that might just be overlooked if you’re intent on just getting somewhere. Slow down and look closer and take notice of workmanship that you just don’t see in newer buildings. This is craftsmanship at its finest. If you look, you can see that the buildings are telling you their story.
