2024 Schedule of Events

From 5 to 9 p.m., visit the Silver Bells Village and start your holiday shopping! The footprint of the Silver Bells Village has been expanded for this year's event and is the perfect place to start your holiday shopping. Get some refreshments, and purchase a Silver Bells commemorative ornament!

The village will feature 30 vendors and seven food trailers/trucks. It is located on the 100 block of East Allegan Street, between South Washington Square and Grand Avenue.

The parade steps off at 6 p.m. from the corner of Lenawee and South Washington Square.

The parade features more than 70 entries, decked out with thousands of lights. Entries include 11 high school marching bands, horse drawn dignitary carriages, Santa Claus atop his sleigh and more!

Spectators can add to the electric spectacle with commemorative LED wristbands. Event staff located by downtown parking areas on Michigan Avenue and South Washington Square will distribute 10,000 wristbands on a first come, first served basis ahead of the parade. The wristbands synchronize with the night’s musical performances.

These LED wristbands are compliments of the Lansing Board of Water and Light, LAFCU, General Motors, CTA, and the Lansing Center.

Join us at 7:30 p.m. for a community sing with Miami-born singer/songwriter David Archuleta. With multiple platinum hits and global acclaim, his angelic voice and warm smile bring joy to Silver Bells in the City!

Choose Lansing is proud to sponsor the Community Sing. Did you know that Silver Bells in the City began as a simple community sing? The event now offers something for everyone and brings families together who travel from across the state and beyond to kick off the holiday season in this annual tradition. On behalf of everyone in the tourism and hospitality industry, we wish you a joyous holiday season.

At approximately 7:35 p.m., there will be 200 drone performing a Firefly Drone Light Show, lighting up the sky and synchronizing with the community sing.

Following the Drone Show., the stunning firework display over the Capitol marks the evening's grand finale.
