The traditional Silver Bells Parade kicks off at 6 p.m. from the corner of Lenawee and South Washington Square.

This dazzling event features over 70 illuminated entries, including 9 high school marching bands, dignitary carriages, and Santa Claus in his sleigh!

This year's Grand Marshall is Herman Moore from the Detroit Lions! A four-time Pro Bowler and three-time NFL All-Pro, Moore was selected 10th overall by the Lions in the 1991 NFL Draft and went on to become one of the franchise's most celebrated wide receivers. He was inducted into the Pride of the Lions, Detroit's Ring of Honor, in 2018.

Off the field, Moore is a successful entrepreneur and founder of Team 84 LLC and the Tackle Life Foundation, a trusted, robust, ecosystem dedicated to empowering youth, families, and communities through education, entrepreneurship, wellness, and creative development.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., Michigan's Official State Christmas Tree will be lit up! This year's state tree is a 68-foot-tall spruce donated by Sault Ste. Marie Resident, Linda Reid, who donated the tree in honor of her grandparents, Lawrence and Nettie Richey. The spruce will arrive in downtown Lansing on November 1, 2025.

The lighting of the tree is followed by a community sing, led by Nashville-based, indie pop singer/songwriter, Zach Seabaugh. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Seabaugh discovered his love for singing in his local church choir before pursuing a music business degree at Middle Tennessee State University.

After the tree lighting and community sing-along, enjoy an awe-inspiring Firefly Drone Light Show.

Following the Drone Light Show, enjoy a breathtaking fireworks display over the Michigan State Capitol, marking the grand finale of the evening's festivities.

Please note: The shows are weather permitting, so be sure to check conditions before joining us for this unforgettable holiday celebration!
