There's so much that's been missing from our lives for the last year or so. For sure it's hugging and visiting with friends and family. Maybe it's enjoying a sporting event in person. We've certainly had our fill of Netflix, TikTok and YouTube. Hopefully we've completed all our home-based projects after watching a ton of HGTV. It's time to get out of the house. Are you ready? Let's take a look at what the Lansing area has to offer in the world of live outdoor entertainment. Get these on your calendar and buy your tickets now!

Mom. She’s there for you for just about everything. Most likely she’s underappreciated and maybe even taken for granted. From packing lunches, tying shoes, reminding you to wear a hat, boots, jacket or gloves, to making your doctor’s appointments and reminding you to take your vitamins. She does this all while holding down the fort, keeping food in the refrigerator and planning vacations. We see you Mom. And on this special day (May 9, 2021) we will celebrate you.

Make the most of the warmer weather by enjoying your food and libations al fresco. There’s something wonderful about eating outside, whether it’s a romantic tete-a-tete or a small gathering of friends or family. Out of the over 100 restaurants offering outdoor dining in Greater Lansing, I've chosen ten of my favorite patios where I may be found.

Commencement marks the end of one thing yet graduation means the beginning of another new chapter. Whether your student is heading into the workplace, higher education or going on an adventure, their graduation ceremony is something you don’t want to miss.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited that the restaurants in Michigan have opened again for dine-in options. And to make your experience go smoothly, we wanted to help you with a few reminders besides the obvious wear a mask mandate.

1. Plan ahead

For right now, it’s probably a bad idea to just show up and think you’ll get a seat at the table. With only 25% occupancy a “full restaurant” will not remotely appear to be full. Also restaurants have to turn on a dime and adapt to all the changes. Their hours may be different or you may just want to check to assure yourself that they are indeed open for dining in. a good place to check is on their Facebook page since this is the easiest for most places to update when they are open.

You don't have to wait for Valentine's Day or Sweetest Day to enjoy a couple's get-out-of-the-house excursion in Lansing. Hold hands during a nature stroll or choose a heart-pumping activity like racing go carts. If that's not your speed, how about a traditional upscale dinner and a delightful overnight? We’ve gathered up some fun, romantic and unique ideas for you. Plan your next date in Greater Lansing, Michigan.

Pizza. A food loved by all and what some would consider a universal food group. From deep dish to New York style and Detroit brick oven to Neopolitan, the pizza pie has evolved over the years, making it a staple in the average persons diet.
