President's Message

Julie Pingston, President

At the beginning of this new year, I would like to take a moment and share my great appreciation for the amazing team members at the GLCVB!  In 2022, we added six positions back to the organization and replaced a seventh position due to turnover.  There is no team that is more dedicated and passionate about this community than the team working on your behalf.  Thank you team GLCVB!!!

I also thank and recognize the GLCVB Board of Directors, Team Lansing Foundation Board of Directors and our Lodging Advisory Board for their work over the past year!  The Board of Directors will keep the same officers as in 2022 with Cindy Bowen (Crowne Plaza Lansing West) as the 2023 Chair, Marcus Kirkpatrick (Delta Parks & Rec) as Vice Chair, Kellie Dean (Dean Transportation) as Treasurer, and Eric Sudol (East Lansing Marriott) as Past Chair.  The GLCVB is extremely fortunate to have dedicated Board members who lend their expertise and time in so many ways.  Thank you!

We’re looking forward to connecting with everyone in 2023 at our Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 2 at The Venue by Eleven 11 Events!  Mark your calendar for a time to reconnect and recap 2022 and look further ahead into 2023!

Happy New Year and looking forward to a great 2023!  Please reach out to me at if I can assist you in any way.  Thank you!

In order to raise awareness of the many rewarding careers in the hospitality and tourism industry, the Greater Lansing CVB is partnering with community stakeholders and building connections with local education institutions to help connect job seekers with open hospitality positions in the region.

Hotels, restaurants, attractions, event venues, and more can post their open job positions on the GLCVB Workforce Development website to connect with job seekers.

Together we can continue to make Greater Lansing an incredible destination.
