Start your journey at the Winter Warrior Patio Party located at the Lansing Brewing Company on February 17, 2018 from 1 to 6 pm. This 3rd annual event includes a FREE Winter Warrior beer koozie, ice sculptures and luge, DJ Face & Patrick DjDuke Duke, as well as good food and great draft beer. Embrace the Michigan weather and get your tickets now for $10 or $12 at the door. Don’t forget to dress in your best Warrior gear for a chance to win prizes!

Michigan Nordic Fire Festival

Head south on the yellow brick road right to Charlotte where you can participate in the Michigan Nordic Fire Festival. Join many other Vikings February 24 – 26, 2018 at the Charlotte Sledding Hill for family-friendly fun including Viking ship burning, spear throwing competitions, reenactment camps, kid’s events and dozens of high-engery hands on activities. For those adult Vikings going, the mead hall will be open for drinks and entertainment on Saturday night. To gain entry into Viking country it is $5 per person or $15 per family for a day pass and $8 per person or $28 per family for a weekend pass. Enjoy your #BeAWeekendViking in Greater Lansing!

Brrs, Beards, and Brews: A Lumberjack Festival

If you get tired of the crazy Vikings you could always click those heels and pop over to relax with the lumberjacks at the Brrs, Beards and Brews: A Lumberjack Festival in Old Town. On February 24 from noon to 5 pm join many other Lumberjacks on Turner Street for an old-school event. This event features Feats of Strength team competitions, outdoor vendors with warm goodies, beard and mustache competitions, beer, whiskey and hearty food. The Lumberjack Festival will take place outside, so make sure to bundle up and arrive in your best flannels, suspenders, mittens and good boots to keep your lumberjack piggies warm. Please remember only the 21 and older Lumberjacks and Lumberjanes can enter with a $10 suggested donation. 

*As a reminder the Old Town Commercial Association asks you to leave your best lumberjack weapons at home,(they don’t want you to make your friends feel inferior based on the size or their weapons) they will be sharing their weapons for the competitions. Same goes for outside food and drink, as well as any four-legged friends.
