LANSING, Mich. – The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is pleased to announce that national sales manager Amy Moon, recently earned the highly-regarded Certified Meeting Professional designation (CMP) from the National Convention Industry Council. The CMP certification distinguishes its holders as career professionals who have demonstrated a high level of experience, skill and knowledge.

“The designation conveys credibility to a meeting professional’s opinions and ideas, both at work and in the greater meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry,” said David Buckenberger, fellow CMP and Vice President of Business Development for the GLCVB. “Amy’s dedication to professionalism in our industry reflects that of the entire GLCVB. We’re thrilled to now have eight CMP’s on our staff so that the GLCVB is equipped to work along-side professional meeting planners who choose Greater Lansing for their conference or event.”

Moon is the national sales manager with the GLCVB, focused on the development of the Michigan State University, National Association, Corporate and Regional Education Meeting and Event markets.

Moon has been with the GLCVB since 2014 and brings over a decade of hospitality experience including positions at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and Candlewood Suites Hotel - Lansing. She is a graduate of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and is an active member of the Michigan Chapter of Meeting Professionals International and serves on the Meetings Michigan Advisory Board.
