LANSING, Mich. - The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is pleased to
announce that Jennifer Hagen, convention services coordinator, recently earned the highlyregarded
Certified Meeting Planner designation (CMP) from the National Convention Industry
Council. The CMP certification distinguishes its holders as career professionals who have
demonstrated a high level of experience, skill and knowledge.

Also, in the first of two recent staffing changes, the GLCVB is pleased to welcome Jan Pfeiffer
as the new manager of membership. Jan is transitioning from the GLCVB sales staff where she
was a sales manager focused on the local Association meetings market to her new role in
membership. Jan has been with the GLCVB since 2007 and was previously employed as the
membership manager at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Secondly, sales intern Megan Laugavitz has recently accepted the position of sales administrator
with the GLCVB. Megan is a recent graduate of the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan
State University and will serve as an assistant to the entire Destination Sales department.
"I'm always happy to see our staff evolve," said Lee Hladki, GLCVB President. "It is a positive
situation when an organization can celebrate staff achievements like a newly acquired
professional designation as well as promotions and transitions from within."
