From malty Märzen lagers and small-batch Oktoberfests to spiced ciders, harvest IPAs, and creative autumn cocktails, our local breweries, wineries, and distilleries are rolling out their coziest seasonal sips. Grab a sweater, gather your crew, and sip your way through autumn at taprooms, tasting rooms, and patios across the capital region.

Oktoberfest Beers & Seasonal Ales

Oktoberfests are the stars of fall—malty, smooth, and made for chilly evenings. Here’s what local breweries are pouring this season:

• BAD Brewing Company (Mason) – You won't want to miss BAD’s offerings: Lucy's Pumpkin Spice Ale, a pumpkin spice amber ale with a creamy, chuggable body and Fest Bier, their very own version of the classic Oktoberfest released late-September.
• BrickHaven Brewing Company (Grand Ledge) – Oktoberfest is out mid-September joining their RaRa Double IPA, Sirius-ly Crystal IPA and then late fall, Olde Jay Imperial Brown will be back.
• EagleMonk Pub & Brewery (Lansing) – Order up their classic Märzen-style Oktoberfest or the Pumpkin Rye with caramel malts, pumpkin puree, and warming spices. Pair with their stone-baked pizzas. .
• Looking Glass Brewing Company (DeWitt) – “Another Oktoberfest” (Sept. 20 release) is smooth, malty, and patio-perfect with a meal. 
• Lansing Brewing Company (Downtown Lansing) – Besides their Oktoberfest on tap, there's the citrus-y Hopdreamer Hazy IPA. LBC patio sitting and corn hole playing optional but the perfect fall combination.
• Old Nation Brewing Company (Williamston) – Known for M-43, but their Oktoberfest is a fall essential with toasted bread crust notes and subtle spice.
• Dimes Brewhouse (Dimondale) – Their malty Märzen is perfect for cool nights on the patio.
• Ozone's Brewhouse (Old Town Lansing) – Enjoy their Pumptrickin, a Pumpkin Ale that tastes like pumpkin bread, or their Ozonetoberfest (Oktoberfest) released late-September with notes of toasted bread, biscuit, & caramel and a crisp, clean finish.
• Midtown Brewing Company (Downtown Lansing) – Offering a classic Märzen Oktoberfest to keep it seasonal and simple.

Cozy Ciders & Fruit Wines

When apples and grapes take the stage, Lansing’s local cideries and wineries deliver seasonal comfort in a glass.

• Graham Vineyard & Winery (Laingsburg) – Try their Pumpkin Spice White Russian, or the Fall Mule, plus new fall wines in October.
• Uncle John’s Cider Mill (St. Johns) – A true fall destination. After a trip through the corn maze, Uncle John’s hot, cold, spiced, or frozen cider and a donut makes the perfect fall treat! 
• Looking Glass Brewing Company. (DeWitt) –Their mulled cider with spices, oranges, and lemons is pure patio coziness. It’s hard to decide between their Bourbon Carmel Apple Hard Cider, Spiced Mulled Cider or the Spiced Apple Cider Spritzer Mocktail.
• Phillips Cider Bar & Market (Lansing) – Make it a flight! With 11 ciders on tap flights are always fun. Pair with their cider donuts.
• Burgdorf’s Winery at Choice Farm Market (Webberville) – You're in MSU territory, pick the award-winning Spartan White, a Michigan-grown semi-dry blend that hits the spot in cooler weather.
• Casali Winery at Cottage Creek (Mason) -  Enjoy a flight while you sit in the beautiful wine room or enjoy the scenic views from the patio and front porch area.

Fall Cocktails from Local Distilleries

For those who love spirits with seasonal flair, Lansing’s distilleries mix creative drinks worth lingering over.

• American Fifth Spirits (Downtown Lansing) – Choose between Nana's Pecan Pie, a pecan liqueur with amaretto, dram, hazelnut syrup and orgeat or their Honeybun, a high rye bourbon with honey and spiced oat syrup.
• Looking Glass Brewing Company (DeWitt) – The Apple Cider Whiskey Smash comes as a cocktail or mocktail, blending apple cider, spice, and whiskey-infused seltzer. 
• Sleepwalker Spirits & Ale (REO Town Lansing) - Fall in love with these cocktails and *mocktails this season. Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini, Apple cider Sangria, XXtra Dirty Soda*, Mai Taiwan*, and Gin Gin Fizz*.
