I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited that the restaurants in Michigan have opened again for dine-in options. And to make your experience go smoothly, we wanted to help you with a few reminders besides the obvious wear a mask mandate.

1. Plan ahead

For right now, it’s probably a bad idea to just show up and think you’ll get a seat at the table. With only 25% occupancy a “full restaurant” will not remotely appear to be full. Also restaurants have to turn on a dime and adapt to all the changes. Their hours may be different or you may just want to check to assure yourself that they are indeed open for dining in. a good place to check is on their Facebook page since this is the easiest for most places to update when they are open.

If there’s one thing I value, it’s variety. Routine bores me and the commonplace disinterests me. The same is true for my eating habits. Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy a traditional burger and beer joint as much as the next person, but I just prefer my burger to have a unique combination of toppings and my beer to be craft. Maybe that sounds snobbish, but I can’t help I have an innate desire to constantly try new foods and explore new places. Can you relate? If so, you’re probably a fellow foodie and will appreciate these restaurants in Greater Lansing that serve up delicious and unique dishes:

I cannot think of anything that I enjoy better than sitting outside on a beautiful warm, sunny day. Wait. How about sitting outside on a beautiful day with people you love…sharing stories, laughing and telling bad jokes?
How could it get even better? Sitting outside on a beautiful day with people you love, not having to cook with a server on hand with delicious food and drinks. It. is. the. best. Hands down. The food and drinks just taste better and the atmosphere is most definitely both relaxed and festive.
