Parking Changes in Downtown Lansing
Starting July 1, 2026:
- One 15-minute free parking per license plate per day when customers pay at the kiosk.
- Shortened parking enforcement hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parking is free on weekends.
- The city parking system will offer the ability for guests to extend their on-street parking sessions, allowing more time to enjoy dining, shopping, entertainment, professional services, and riverfront experiences downtown. Parking rates for the first 2 hours of on-street parking stay the same. Rates only increase for each hour customers extend their parking past the original 2 hours.
