On Your Visit to Lansing, Tracy Recommends:
- Checking out the State Capitol Building. On the tour, docents will help you unlock all of the cool history and awe-inspiring decor of Michigan's most majestic building.
- Discovering the region's hidden gems like Little Hawk Putting Course. Complete with sand traps and water hazards, this bent grass-putting course is great for families.
- Packing a picnic to enjoy at the urban beach at Rotary Park or rent a kayak to paddle the Grand River with River Town Adventures.
- Sampling sweet treats! The MSU Dairy Store produces freshly churned ice cream in dozens of flavors crafted onsite or head to the Peanut Shop. This downtown Lansing institution offers bulk candy, popcorn, and fresh-roasted peanuts.
What Does She Love About Lansing?
"It sounds like a cliche but I love our Midwestern hospitality. The region offers big city amenities with small-town charm. You are only a 20-minute drive from anything you might want."
Tracy loves to go out to eat so you will find her enjoying a meal at one of the region's many diverse restaurants. She tries to keep her tween son active so as a family they enjoy golf, taking in a Lansing Lugnuts game, or cheering on the Spartans at an MSU basketball game.
