The Greater Lansing area is comprised of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties and is located in the heart of Michigan. Our central location in the state makes us an attractive destination for weekend getaways, conventions/meetings and sports tournaments. Home to the State Capitol, mid-Michigan offers world-class attractions, dining and lodging. Lansing has a very walkable downtown with a large convention center along the Grand River and dozens of restaurants and attractions within a five-block radius. East Lansing is home to Michigan State University and boasts the youthful energy of a University town.

Become a Certified Tourism Ambassador
Choose Lansing® is proud to offer this exciting certification program to our region. The program strives to inspire and motivate our front-line employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience!
How does it work?
For $20 participants take a half-day course and an open book exam to become a CTA. This well-recognized designation teaches information and history on the Greater Lansing region, customer service skills and resources to aid visitors plan their trip. Over 500 CTAs have completed the course and developed a new-found pride for their community.
