2027 CTA Update

As we prepare to celebrate the Certified Tourism Ambassador^® (CTA) program's 17th year in 2027, we'd like to share an important update regarding annual renewals.

Since the program launched 17 years ago, the cost to renew your CTA certification has never increased. During that time, we've expanded the program well beyond the certification itself by offering exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, networking mixers, educational opportunities, special events, and additional ways for CTAs to connect with and explore the Greater Lansing region.

To ensure we can continue providing these valuable experiences while supporting the long-term success of the program, we will be implementing a modest renewal fee increase beginning in 2027.

The new renewal rates will be:

• $15 for renewals completed on or before October 31, 2027 (Early Bird Rate)
• $25 for renewals completed between November 1 and December 31, 2027

Even with this adjustment, the CTA program remains one of the most affordable certification programs of its kind, and we are committed to continuing to provide meaningful benefits and experiences throughout the year.
