The campaign invites residents and visitors to come enjoy everything in their own backyards and by supporting the local tourism industry, we can keep Greater Lansing great! Help us spread the word as the campaign kicks off in early June and runs all summer.

Thank you to all who came out to the recent mixer at Impression 5 Science Center held in collaboration with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was a fun-filled event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Impression Science Center as well as to connect as an industry! Thanks to the many CTAs who were sporting a CTA pin that night. It did not go unnoticed!

On May 2, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the Department of Energy’s Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at Michigan State University. The path to this grand opening began in 2008 when MSU was selected as the site for the FRIB and the project broke ground in 2014. While a development involving nuclear science does not naturally connect to the tourism and hospitality industry, we look forward to welcoming scientists from around the world to our region as they travel here to conduct ground-breaking research projects within the facility. Those coming to use the FRIB represent more than 100 universities in the U.S. and 250 institutions from 50 countries internationally. Our region will also be hosting a variety of conferences and symposiums related to the FRIB. It is an exciting time for our region to be leading the world in nuclear research and discovery!

Lansing will commemorate the holiday with a parade, festivals with food, live music, special events, and more!
