Pull up a blanket or chair at the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden and enjoy the ambience of music and garden flora during MSU’s free outdoor concert series featuring MSU College of Music chamber groups. Free tours of the garden will begin after the concerts.

Experience the music of Spartan Student Jazz Ensemble. Enjoy the toe-tapping rhythms and sweet sounds from a select group of MSU Jazz Studies students as they perform a range of soul, swing, blues and straight-ahead jazz repertoire.
Garden Tour: Weeds You Can Eat or Not, 8:00 PM
When one breaks ground in the Midwest United States, whether for a garden or any other project, a huge list of possible weeds will emerge soon after. Join the curator of the Beal Botanical Garden, Peter Carrington to explore the many of these weeds could be potential food sources and the ones that could not.
Bring your own picnic or enjoy selections from the MSU Food Truck, including complimentary MSU Dairy Store ice cream.
