In this workshop students will create their own unique Mandala to take home. A Mandala is a radial design with geometric shapes and patterns. The word mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit and represents wholeness. Its origins and meanings in Eastern religious practices. Today Mandalas are used around the world for many purposes from a tool for meditation to home decor.

Students will explore making radial designs, based upon a circle, square or triangle and will create their own unique and meaningful mandala (12” x 12”). Mandalas will be made using a variety of mix media materials, such as, stickers, markers, tape, and collage. Supplies will be provided–all experience levels are welcome.
