Patronage and fundraising has long served as the engine of the arts, but how many of us actually know how fundraising works for large arts organizations? Join Joe Robinson, former principal oboist for the New York Philharmonic, who has spent his life both as a performer and as an arts administrator, to unpack some of these principles of fundraising. Robinson served as president of the Grand Teton Orchestral Seminar, served on the board of overseers for the Curtis Institute of Music, and has raised funds and produced events such as the NY Phil’s residency at the Grand Teton Music Festival, a $1.5 scholarship fund at Davidson College, and “Heroes of Conscience, and joint Philadelphia Orchestra/New York Philharmonic concerts.
