One artwork. One guest. One theme. In September, we'll look at the artwork Shadows from the Walls of Death by Adam Brown featured in the 2021 AAHD Faculty Triennial: Where We Dwell. Librarian Andrew Lundeen will join for this unconventional tour centered on the artist’s inspiration, the deadliest book on the shelves of MSU Libraries, which contains toxic green pigment samples collected by chemist Robert C. Kedzie in the 1870's. Registration for this free event is required.

This monthly tour series offers a close look at one work of art on view at the MSU Broad. Join our Director of Education, Michelle Word, as she talks with an invited expert who will bring their unique perspectives and knowledge to the conversation, sharing relevant cultural, scientific, and historical context that brings into focus the artwork's timely themes.

The 2021 MSU Department of Art, Art History, and Design Faculty Triennial is on view Aug. 7–Dec. 19 at the MSU Broad Art Museum.
