The 2013-12014 season is a much anticipated one for Michigan State Universitys Wharton Center for Performing Arts and its lineup of Broadway, theater, dance and special performances. Some of the Lansing events to look forward to the hilarious The Book of Mormon; winner of 9 Tony Awards, Peter and the Starcatcher; a swashbuckling prequel to Peter Pan and the return of Mamma Mia! based on the songs of ABBA. Throw in some stellar and world-renowned performers like Yo-Yo Ma, The Moscow Festival Ballet with The Sleeping Beauty and Rachel York with her cabaret performance and youve got a lot of dates to plan on. Of course, as always, the season also includes the Act One Family Series, mostly for ages four and older with family friendly pricing. Families get to experience The Teacher From the Black Lagoon, The Frog Bride, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by A. Wolf among others. You cant go wrong.
