Ahhh. When the weather warms up, nothing beats he smell of popcorn and hot dogs, the sun in your face, a cold beer in your hand...and...the crack of the bat. Here in Michigan's capital city, the Lansing Lugnuts are our hometown team and with a name like that, it reminds us that Lansing is still a thriving auto town with two state-of-the-art GM assembly facilities. This High-A Oakland Athletic affiliate plays at Jackson Field, conveniently located in the heart of downtown Lansing with plenty of nearby parking, food, drink and accommodations.
This spring Jackson Field came alive, starting out with the traditional Crosstown Showdown on April 6th when the Lansing Lugnuts take on the Michigan State University Spartans. Then just two days later it’s Opening Day for the Lansing Lugnuts with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday against the Lake County Captains.
Then, something new at Jackson Field - Capital Clash on Friday, April 15th at 5 p.m. where MSU Spartans vs UofM Wolverines - surely a great rivalry game that you'll want to put on your calendars. Will you be wearing maize and blue or green and white?.

Promotional Days
Minor league baseball just wouldn't be the same without all the promotions, entertainment and seemingly endless fun going on between innings. The Lansing Lugnuts have released their promotional schedule that each year never disappoint.
Tuesday: Tacos and Tallboys Enjoy $4 tacos (includes two tacos) and $4 16oz Cervezas!
Wednesday: Dog Days of Summer. Bring your four-legged friend out to enjoy a night at the ballpark! There will be special stations for dogs, water bowls and more!
Thursday: Labatt Blue Thirsty Thursdays are back! Enjoy $2 domestic 16oz drafts and $5 16oz crafts all season long!
Friday: Frontline Fridays honor local frontline workers!
Saturday: Each Saturday switches up with everything from a REO Speedwagon Tribute, Star Wars Night and of course the infamous Eat-a-Palooza is back where for a $25 admission, you can eat all you want for free inside Jackson Field.
Sunday: Every Sunday is a Capital City Market Kids Day! Kids can run the bases after the game and there is a soft baseball giveaway! Head over to Capital City Market after the game for a post-game party!
You won't want to miss the specialty jersey nights, partnerships with Marvel (hello Superheroes!) and fireworks nights. Plus there’s a Jurassic weekend and a Wizarding weekend. The schedule is packed with tons of fun that you just don’t want to miss.

Stay
While Greater Lansing has over 40 hotel properties in the region, you can stay and walk to the games if you book at the new Courtyard by Marriott – Lansing Downtown or at the Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capital.
Eat
Find so many dining options that will satisfy your hunger. If you’re looking to get a bite to eat nearby right before or after the game, the Nuthouse Sports Grill is a fine option as is Lansing Brewing Company. Open late is Lansing's newest hotspot-Sidecar Slider Bar and that’s right across the street from the ballpark.
Park
Parking is easy on game days! And weekend on-the-street parking is free! Find public parking at surface lots and parking ramps for a nominal fee in a four-to-five block area around the ballpark.
