Roller Derby is hot and going strong throughout the entire Midwest. For that reason the Greater Lansing area is particularly proud to be hosting the 2013 Great Lakes Cup JRDA Regional Tournament at Aim High Sports in Dimondale coming up this June 22nd. Awesome junior level derby teams from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois will be battling for top honors. This flat-track tournament, officially sanctioned by junior Roller Derby Association, is the largest junior roller derby tournament in the country to date!
Doors open at Aim High at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday the 22nd, with continual bouts rolling late into the evening. Kids 10 and under are free, $8 for kids 11-17 and $15 for adults. Come out and support this all girls sport that helps advocate healthy body image, physical fitness and team work while developing leadership skills and building tolerance and friendship.
