What began as the brainchild of Chad Jordan at the Lansing City Market in 2007 is now one of the must-see things to do in historic Old Town Lansing. He opened up shop there in 2010, added a second location in Okemos last year and now a third location is opening soon in the heart of Downtown Lansing. Cravings Gourmet Popcorn & Soda Pop Market is a big draw in the area for visitors and residents alike. Chads flavor combinations are both traditional and unique. Using high-quality ingredients (*peanut AND gluten free) and popped in coconut oil, I have to agree that this popcorn is addictive. Of course, I love the fact that the popcorn kernels are locally sourced, which makes this a truly #lovelansing and Michigan-made product.
Want something spicy? Try the Buffalo Cheddar. Want something decadent? Try the Deluxe, a dark and white chocolate drizzled over the original caramel popcorn. Want to mix it up a bit? Try the Three Way featuring Cheddar Cheese, a combo of cheddar cheese, original caramel and buttery movie theater popcorn. Plus, there are some sweet and salty flavors, as well. Like to try before you buy? Me too. So there are samples to taste. Lots of samples. If you're like me, sampling the Dill Pickle flavor is one of the important things to do.
The new downtown Lansing location will be opening in early November and located near the Peanut Shop on the 100 South Washington block. With some great soda pop options like Dang! Root Beer, its like a one-stop party (just add the Bacardi). So, whether youre on the north side of Lansing, east of campus or right downtown, Cravings Gourmet Popcorn & Soda Pop Market is a great place to stop and pick up some tailgating treats, your movie night eats, or a gift for your sweetie. Gifting and munching gourmet popcorn are fun things to do with friends and family alike. #lovelansing
