When you're planning an event, just as important as who is speaking is the question - What is everyone eating? In today's complicated world more and more people have special diets due to the growing number of food allergies. A savvy event professional knows what most people tend to be allergic to and are ready to accommodate common special diets. Want a quick look at the must-knows of feeding the masses in 2016?

If you're planning an event but aren't sure which type of event seating plan is right for you, here are some questions to ask yourself before you decide which arrangement will work best for your event:
- How many people will be attending your event?
- What is the purpose of the event?
- Are there any restrictions due to the type of venue selected for the event?
- Will the guests need to interact with one another at any point during the event?
- Are there any special activities or circumstances that need to be taken into consideration?

There’s something absolutely magical about Lansing’s Silver Bells in the City. It’s a whirlwind combination of a whole bunch of my favorite things, Nothing I like better than a festive parade, spectacular fireworks, the illumination of Michigan’s official Christmas tree and a ton of live music.

If you think Halloween is all about hyper kids scouring the area for their next hit of sugar, you’re absolutely right. If you think Halloween is only for kids, though, then you’re definitely wrong. Plenty of adults anticipate the arrival of this celebration and are equally (if not more) thrilled to pick out which costume they will wear. So, if you’ve crossed into the category of “I might have the cops called on me if I knock on doors, but I really want to wear my costume somewhere” here are ten adult-friendly Halloween events in Greater Lansing.
With the cool air arriving, now is the time to plan a trip to take in some great fall festivals in Greater Lansing. We can’t think of a better feeling than putting on your favorite boots, pulling out that cozy sweater and heading out to enjoy all that fall has to offer.

Did you know that Greater Lansing is home to well over 20 community famers’ markets? Each set up
Have you attended Be A Tourist in years past and think you’ve seen it all? How about skipping the super popular and crowded places like Potter Park Zoo and Impression 5 and try something different this year?
I’ve listed ten alternative suggestions, but there are more. Purchase your passport and try something new during this year’s Be A Tourist In Your Own Town.
Be A Tourist In Your Own Town is the perfect family event. Kids love the hands-on crafts and museums, parents love that it’s affordable, yet some might wonder, what’s in it for me? If you think Be A Tourist is all about face-painting and balloon animal twisting, you’re missing out on a whole other side. Yes, Be A Tourist has many kid-friendly options, but it also has numerous events and attractions the “older younger” crowd–millennials–will enjoy.
Be A Tourist In Your Own Town is coming up Saturday, June 4th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Purchase a ‘passport’ for one dollar and get to see over 80 Greater Lansing attractions. It’s a fun day for residents and visitors alike. So grab the kids, family, your best buddies or even a date and plan to spend the day discovering Michigan’s capital city!!!

A Mother’s love is special. It rejoices with every triumph, it is steadfast through the tough times and it is even enthusiastic to receive a Christmas card of its four-legged grandchild. With Mother’s Day coming up, it’s time to show mom how thankful you are to have her in your life and for all that she does, and there is no better way to do that than with family friendly events in Michigan.
