How It Works

  1. Participants need to purchase a $1 passport (Check the PASSPORTS tab). Children under three do not need a passport.
  2. Passport holders can park on the MSU campus, in Old Town, at the downtown City of Lansing parking ramps or at the Michigan Historical Museum and hop aboard one of five CATA Be A Tourist public bus routes. Round trip fares are only 50 cents per person. (Check the CATA / MAPS tab)
  3. Throughout the month of June, "tourists" can have their passport stamped at participating attractions, and once they receive 10 stamps, they are eligible to enter a prize drawing for overnight stays, gift certificates to local restaurants and more. (Check the ATTRACTIONS tab.)
