LANSING, Mich. - The Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) and
the Lansing Center are pleased to announce that Vice President of Sales, Shari Berger, was
recently inducted into the Michigan Meetings + Events Hall of Fame and honored with a
Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners are selected by the editorial advisory board of Michigan
Meetings + Events.
Shari has worked in the local hospitality community for over 27 years and is a pastpresident
of Michigan Meeting Professionals International (MMPI). In her role as vice president
of sales for both organizations, she develops strategies and oversees their implementation to
bring group business to Greater Lansing area hotels and convention/meeting facilities.
"The Greater Lansing hospitality community is better because of Shari Berger," said Lee Hladki,
President of the GLCVB. "Her work in promoting the region as a meetings destination and her knack for
teaching and mentoring others really makes her an asset and a role model for our industry."
