Chill out at downtown Lansing's Frost Fest on Saturday, February 13! From 1-5 p.m. enjoy family friendly activities on S. Washington Square and Adado Riverfront Park. Along the 100 and 200 blocks of S. Washington Sq. you'll find ice sculptures, a warming tent with kids’ activities and refreshments, liquid nitrogen and dry ice demonstrations by Impression 5, complimentary carriage rides and outdoor music by Jammin' DJ's and 94.1 The Edge. Activities in the park (weather permitting) include, snowboard rail demos by Modern Skate & Surf, Trebuchet launches at 2 p.m. & 3 p.m. by Impression 5, a snowman building area, a snowball throwing contest, and other winter related activities. The CATA Frost Fest trolley will be there giving rides between the two locations!
That evening beat the winter blues at the MBC (Michigan Brewing Company) Frost Fest beer tent from 7-11 p.m.! Featuring only microbrews from MBC, an ice bar, and a "Cold Butt" euchre tournament you're sure to have a good time. Entry into the MBC beer tent is $10 and will include a Frost Fest mug and one drink. Only those with iron butt's will be allowed to play in the "Cold Butt" euchre tournament! Sit on blocks of ice as you take on your other cold weather comrades in a few dueling rounds of euchre. Entry fee per team is $50 (fee also includes your entry into the beer tent, your Frost Fest mug and one drink per team member). First place team wins a $100 cash prize and another surprise gift.
