Lansing Capital Roller Derby League is a non for profit, skater-run, flat-track roller derby organization committed to making the Greater Lansing Area an even better place to live. The league consists of the adult Mitten Mavens and Lansing's only junior team, the Cap City Wild Childs. Women's flat-track roller derby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world with fast-paced, full-contact action that demands flexible strategy and tough athleticism from its skaters. Off the track, the Mavens and Wild Childs work with like-minded organizations to provide volunteers, funding, and support to help achieve their goals.
Both the Mitten Mavens and Cap City Wild Childs practice and compete at Aim High Sports in Dimondale, MI. The league bouting seasons runs from September-May and the teams compete against leagues from all across the Midwest and Canada. New skaters, referees, and non-skating officials are welcome to join at any time- no experience is required.
