Art by the River Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition June 1 - August 30, 2012

Discover the rich beauty of the Grand River while enjoying Lansing Art Gallery's open-air gallery. Located between Michigan Ave. and Shiawassee Street, the exhibition features 10 sculptures created by Michigan artists. The exhibition reflects the diversity of emerging and professional artists living and working in Michigan. Take a walk along the river trail and appreciate artwork beyond the traditional museum or gallery setting. Dial in to hear the artists speak about their inspiration and biographies. Or use the provided QR codes to download the information directly to your mobile device. To vote for the People's Choice Award, dial in to any of the numbers to text or leave a voice mail. In addition, you may vote for your favorite on the Art by the River website. Lansing Art Gallery's Art by the River exhibition is funded with support from the City of Lansing Art & Cultural Grant Program funded and administered through the Lansing Economic Development Corporation with assistance from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing. The project is also supported in part by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, Acd.net and Ingham County. Lansing Art Gallery is located at 119 North Washington Square in downtown Lansing. Lansing Art Gallery provides public awareness, enjoyment and education of the visual arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists.
