On the last weekend to see our Civil War exhibit, Plowshares into Swords, we welcome back the 5th Michigan Infantry Regiment Band. Dressed in period attire, the musicians perform Civil War-era music using antique and replica sax horns and wood rope tension drums. The band plays marches, polkas, waltzes and songs arranged for the group by band conductor Lt. Col. Guy Smith. This program is included free with museum admission.
