MSUFCU and the Network for Healthy Kids (NHK) are working together to promote healthy lifestyles for children at the annual Teddy Bear Picnic. Don’t miss all of the fun on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the field across from the MSU Clinical Center.
This event is free and open to the public with various family-friendly activities such as face painting, music, arts and crafts, and raffle prizes. Additionally, we encourage youth to bring their favorite stuffed animals to the Teddy Bear Hospital and if they have injuries, trained teddy bear doctors will be there to make repairs.
The Teddy Bear Hospital is made up of healthcare students and professionals with the goal of helping children learn about what to expect from a visit to the doctor’s office. There will be representatives from a variety of specialties and sub-specialties including pediatrics, radiology, sports medicine, ophthalmology, and orthopedics. A health record will be given to children upon arrival and once they have visited all of the prescribed “clinics,” they will receive a special gift for participating.
