During this special evening 5K walk/run, participants carry illuminated lanterns - white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Funds raised help support LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the voice for all blood cancer patients and we work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer-related death among children under the age of 20. Lymphoma is the most common blood cancer diagnosed in adults and the third most common cancer diagnosed in children.
