The snow has finally melted, and spring has sprung. Spring may come with rain and flowers, but most importantly it comes with great events!

April 6:

MSU Science Festival

Starting April 6th and running until the 22nd is the 6th annual MSU Science Festival! With each day bringing new opportunities to learn, explore, and pursue your curiosity by everything science has to offer!

Festival kickoff at Michigan History Center: 5:00 to 8:00

The Michigan History Center will take you on a journey exploring the Au Sable River at their Night at the Museum event. Tie your own fishing fly, dive deep into a discussion about watersheds, practice your knot-tying skills, and even take a virtual kayak trip down the river with their Oculus Rift headset. This is a night full of education and adventure that you don't want to miss!

April 7:

Old Town Lansing Shopping District

Taste and Tour of Old Town

Back for its 11th year, is the Taste and Tour of Old Town. Featuring: Grand Café Sir Pizza, Scoops Ice Cream, Juice Nation, Cravings, Old Town General Store and more! Get an in-depth look as to what Old Town has to offer by touring their lofts and commercial spaces from 12-5 p.m. and sampling foods along the way. This is an experience you and your stomach will never forget!

Lansing Lugnut Opening Day Celebration

You know it’s spring in Lansing when the Cooley Law Stadium is roaring with fans and sparking with entertainment. The Lansing Lugnuts opening day celebration is finally here and what better way to kick off the start of the Lugnuts’ 2018 All-Star Summer than with a pre-game Block Party on Michigan Avenue. Enjoy a night filled with free activities and games, food & drink and live music! The celebration begins at 3 p.m. with the opening game starting at 7:05 and to finish off the evening, LAFCU will be presenting a firework show!

On the banks of the Red Cedar...there is fun for all! This weekend, the Michigan State campus will be buzzing with events for everyone in the family to enjoy. Make an entire day of it by starting off learning about, meteorites, molecules, monarchs and more during expo day of the MSU Science Festival. Need a break from science? Head on over to the Eli & Edythe Broad Art Museum for family day! Or embrace your Spartan spirit and catch an inning or two at the Old College Field Complex where both the MSU Baseball and Softball teams will be playing. Keep that Spartan spirit up high and finish the day off strong by marching over to the Spartan Stadium for the annual Green vs. White Spring Football game!
