We all need food to live. And finding food is super easy when you visit Lansing. My friend from New Jersey always comments when she visits that theres a ton of smoke shops, oil change places and restaurants galore in Lansing. Im not sure if a Jiffy Lube or a Tobacco Heaven is super important, but I love the fact that if youre hungry, you dont have to travel far at all. But sometimes on a tight budget, its easy to get sticker shock at some of my favorite places to dine.
Thank goodness for Capital Area Restaurant Week thats going on right now. Its the best incentive to try a new eatery or just go back to one of your favorite dining spots.
Heres how it works: Choose a restaurant: Experience the best in local cuisine from some of the Capital Areas most outstanding restaurants. Its a great way to try something new and help out the Greater Lansing Food Bank
Make a reservation: Pick a day (or several!) July 6-12, 2014. Contact each participating restaurant and tell them you'd like to come for restaurant week. Its important to make the reservation to ensure that you can get a table and avoid disappointment.
Special menu: When you arrive at the restaurant, ask for the special Restaurant Week menu. You will enjoy a three-course meal for $25 per person or $25 per couple (depending on the restaurant).
