Be A Tourist in Your Own Town is fast approaching on Saturday, June 3rd. With over 90 places available to visit, this day is bound to be a winner. Not only can you have a fun and exciting and inexpensive day, you can also qualify to win some valuable prizes just by attending the event. Valuable like what you may ask? Top prizes include a $1,500 travel voucher courtesy of the Capital Region International Airport or a flat screen TV courtesy of Comcast, a night in a Lugnuts suite for 10 people. There are over 70 prizes in addition to those.

Batyot prizesWe have four ways for you to enter to win.

  1. Get at least 10 stamps on the back of your passport and be entered to win all kinds of great prizes. Restaurant gift cards. Local hotel overnights. Passes to family fun attractions and activities. Retail gift cards. You get the idea.
  2. Get 15 or more stamps on the back of your passport and you will be in the drawing for the Fly Lansing $1,500 airfare voucher. Heck, we figure you’ve explored Lansing like a champ, it’s time to get out of town and explore another cool city.
  3. Post some photos on social media, tag them #BATYOT2017 and you’ll be eligible to win one of the two flat screen TVs.
  4. Fill out a survey. We’re always looking for feedback for the event. What’s working, what needs improvement, what you absolutely love, etc. So help us out by filling out the survey and you can win that way, too. Find the survey posted on the Be A Tourist webpage after the event.

BATYOT familyYou have the rest of the month of June to get your stamps. Remember that you can get your stamps after the event, but you will have to pay the admission if you want to enter the attraction. For example, you can go to the admission gate at Potter Park Zoo and get your passport stamped, but you would have to pay regular admission fee to actually get in the zoo.

The deadline to get your stamp pages back to us is July 8, 2017. The prize winners will be posted on the Be A Tourist webpage the week of July 17th.
