7 Unique Event Venues Only Available in Greater Lansing

The Michigan Princess riverboat transports guests back to the Victorian era while offering modern comforts and stunning views during chartered cruises on the water. There’s room for up to 450 people for weddings, class reunions, corporate outings and other special events.

Time stands still inside the Turner Dodge House, the historic 19th-century home of two pioneering Lansing families. Built in 1858 in a classic revival style, the 8,600-square-foot house in Old Town features scores of artifacts and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places for more than 40 years.

Pretend you’re an early 20th-century auto tycoon by holding your business meeting in the boardroom at the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum. The unique space sits inside the historic Bates & Edmunds Engine Co. building that dates to 1912. For a larger event or party, you can rent the entire museum.

An innovative meeting space with a bit of whimsy, the new ThinkSpace fuels a lot more energy than a typical conference room. Playful spaces like The Un-Bored Room, The Campfire and The Watering Hole keep interactions lively, and you can customize the space to meet the unique needs of your event.

As unique as the works on display, the meeting spaces at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University each have their own size and personality. Plus, the exhibit galleries are great for brain breaks and creative inspiration. You can enjoy the museum’s artistry and architecture at banquets, lectures, conferences or strolling receptions for up to 250 people.

Lansing Brewing Company is always a good place to meet for a drink. It’s also a great place to gather for a corporate outing or private party and enjoy a unique craft beer and gastro pub experience. There’s one smaller room for up to 44 people, and a larger 7,000-square-foot Stockhouse with room for 240 people.

Right next door to Lansing Brewing Company is Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team. It’s also home of The View, a 2,000-square-foot event venue overlooking center field. There’s room for 150 people indoors, with outdoor patio seating above the field also available.
