If you think Halloween is all about hyper kids scouring the area for their next hit of sugar, you’re absolutely right. If you think Halloween is only for kids, though, then you’re definitely wrong. Plenty of adults anticipate the arrival of this celebration and are equally (if not more) thrilled to pick out which costume they will wear. So, if you’ve crossed into the category of “I might have the cops called on me if I knock on doors, but I really want to wear my costume somewhere” here are ten adult-friendly Halloween events in Greater Lansing.
- Night at the Opera House
Oct. 26 | 7:30 p.m.
The Grand Ledge Community Band will present a night of fun complete with spooky Halloween-themed music. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costumes.
- American Fifth Spirits Halloween Party
Oct. 28 | 4 p.m.
Celebrate Halloween with American Fifth. Happy hour will run all day and awards will be presented for the best costume.
- Tour of Terror Bar Crawl
Oct. 28 | 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Participants get the chance to tour a variety of Lansing’s bars and also are entered to win some great prizes.
- Williamston Zombie Walk
Oct. 28 | 7 p.m.
Meet up at Williamston’s McCormick Park to get your zombie on.
- Rocky Horror Picture Show at Sun Theatre
Oct. 28 | 9:40 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Head over to the Sun Theatre Immediately following the Williamston Zombie Walk for a special showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. A prop bag will be provided.
- MSU’s Haunted Aud
Oct. 28-31 | Times Vary
Come see hair-raising, spine-chilling, blood-curdling urban legends in all their gruesome glory at the 8th annual Haunted Aud.
- Lansing Brewing Company Halloween Costume Party
Oct. 29 | 7 p.m.
Enjoy cocktail specials at LCB while showing off your costume. Prizes for best costume will be awarded at 9 p.m.
- Rocky Horror Picture Show w/ Shadowcast at Studio C!
Oct. 29 | 11 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Stop by Studio C! for a special presentation. Admission includes a food item and beverage. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best Rocky Horror party gear.
- Zombie Zoo Brew
Oct. 29 | 7 – 11 p.m.
Eat, drink and be spooky at Potter Park Zoo’s second annual Halloween party. The event will feature live music, adult beverages, a costume contest and more.
- The Devil’s Feast Murder Mystery Dinner at the Creole
Oct. 30 | 6 – 9 p.m.
Enjoy four devilishly delectable courses paired with evil concoctions from Ellison Brewery + Spirits all while the Murder Mystery Co. performs a live theater production. Costumes from the roaring 20s are suggested.
