I’m not even really sure what arugula is, but it definitely gives a little kick to Urbandale Farm’s spicy spring mix. The scent and flavor go way above and beyond the norm for salad greens.

Eagle Eye Golf Club in Lansing regularly gets rated as 18 of the best holes in Michigan, and even among the best in the country. With an iconic island green replica of the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass, Eagle Eye is a must-play that should be on every golfer’s bucket list if they haven’t already played it.

With a favorite club in hand and the hole little more than 100 yards away, it’s still nerve-wracking to stand on the 17th tee at Eagle Eye Golf Club. Even with only pride at stake.

Feeling the need to reconnect with friends, take a break from the stress of work, family and boring weekends? It’s time for a Girls Getaway!
With the sun out and the flowers blooming, I feel the need to shake off the winter blues and have some fun with the girls. As “the planner” of our squad, the coordination of travel and activities often falls to me. If we had to pick one month as our favorite of the year, June would definitely be a contender. Why, you ask? Oh, let’s see…it has the longest list of festivals, you can finally enjoy warm-weather attractions like the Lansing River Trail, there is an outdoor concert almost every day, etc., etc. Take advantage of this eventful month and add a few of these summer festivals to your calendar.

There is a group of like-minded attractions that are open during Be A Tourist in Your Own Town this year that I think that folks will enjoy whether they’re eight or eighty years old. For sure, you could follow the crowds and hit up favorites like Impression 5 Science Center or Potter Park Zoo, but here’s a suggestion for something just a bit different and some of these things you just can’t do every day.

Before we officially discuss May, can we just take one last moment to appreciate the spectacular spring views April brought us via these Instagram photos?
Ok, now let’s dive in.
You may have heard Greater Lansing referred to as “Michigan’s Festival Capital” and if that doesn’t make sense now, it will soon. As summer approaches, the list of events grows longer and longer. Take advantage of the additional things to do and start planning what you’ll attend this month. Here are a few can’t-miss, Lansing events to help you get started.

Let me start by assuring you that a visit to the Nuthouse and the cries of "Go Nuts!" are all referring to Lansing's minor league team and a sports bar located nearby.
