If you think Halloween is all about hyper kids scouring the area for their next hit of sugar, you’re absolutely right. If you think Halloween is only for kids, though, then you’re definitely wrong. Plenty of adults anticipate the arrival of this celebration and are equally (if not more) thrilled to pick out which costume they will wear. So, if you’ve crossed into the category of “I might have the cops called on me if I knock on doors, but I really want to wear my costume somewhere” here are ten adult-friendly Halloween events in Greater Lansing.

With the cool air arriving, now is the time to plan a trip to take in some great fall festivals in Greater Lansing. We can’t think of a better feeling than putting on your favorite boots, pulling out that cozy sweater and heading out to enjoy all that fall has to offer.

Have you attended Be A Tourist in years past and think you’ve seen it all? How about skipping the super popular and crowded places like Potter Park Zoo and Impression 5 and try something different this year?

I’ve listed ten alternative suggestions, but there are more. Purchase your passport and try something new during this year’s Be A Tourist In Your Own Town.

Be A Tourist In Your Own Town is the perfect family event. Kids love the hands-on crafts and museums, parents love that it’s affordable, yet some might wonder, what’s in it for me? If you think Be A Tourist is all about face-painting and balloon animal twisting, you’re missing out on a whole other side. Yes, Be A Tourist has many kid-friendly options, but it also has numerous events and attractions the “older younger” crowd–millennials–will enjoy.

Be A Tourist In Your Own Town is coming up Saturday, June 4th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Purchase a ‘passport’ for one dollar and get to see over 80 Greater Lansing attractions. It’s a fun day for residents and visitors alike. So grab the kids, family, your best buddies or even a date and plan to spend the day discovering Michigan’s capital city!!!

A Mother’s love is special. It rejoices with every triumph, it is steadfast through the tough times and it is even enthusiastic to receive a Christmas card of its four-legged grandchild. With Mother’s Day coming up, it’s time to show mom how thankful you are to have her in your life and for all that she does, and there is no better way to do that than with family friendly events in Michigan.

When you’re looking forward to something fun time seems to really drag. You’ve been there. Think about how Hoopie must feel waiting for March Magic Hoopfest to start up! All year long he waits for this hands-on basketball fan fest set for 8 short days away. When it starts getting close like this he’s really getting anxious and while he tries to help, he… well, let’s just say he he’s really best suited for Hoopfest… and that’s about it. You remember last week when he tried helping out around the office and ended up making so many mistakes he fouled out? Well, it was suggested Hoopie try and go help out with a few of this year’s generous Hoopfest Sponsors. Things started out okay because Hoopie brings plenty of enthusiasm but then.. well… see for yourself.
