The start of a new year can seem overwhelming. Especially when it feels like it just began. But, time marches on; it’s just one of the inescapable truths of life. Instead of dwelling on the rapid succession and unfinished accomplishments of the past year, we like to look at what is ahead. Particularly, when what we see is a new class of restaurants and breweries offering up one-of-a-kind entrées and beverages. Here are three new restaurants in Lansing we can’t wait to try in 2017.

If there’s one thing I value, it’s variety. Routine bores me and the commonplace disinterests me. The same is true for my eating habits. Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy a traditional burger and beer joint as much as the next person, but I just prefer my burger to have a unique combination of toppings and my beer to be craft. Maybe that sounds snobbish, but I can’t help I have an innate desire to constantly try new foods and explore new places. Can you relate? If so, you’re probably a fellow foodie and will appreciate these restaurants in Greater Lansing that serve up delicious and unique dishes:

Summer’s not over quite yet. Grab your girls, your best friends or the fam and plan on a great getaway to Greater Lansing. Festivals, great patio dining, great one of a kind attractions and outdoor adventure awaits.
I cannot think of anything that I enjoy better than sitting outside on a beautiful warm, sunny day. Wait. How about sitting outside on a beautiful day with people you love…sharing stories, laughing and telling bad jokes?
How could it get even better? Sitting outside on a beautiful day with people you love, not having to cook with a server on hand with delicious food and drinks. It. is. the. best. Hands down. The food and drinks just taste better and the atmosphere is most definitely both relaxed and festive.
B-E-E-R. It’s a four letter word that has changed countless lives. In recent years, beer-related words like hops, gravity, malt, ABV, craft brewery, brew pub, flocculation and mashes have become mainstream in our lexicon. In Greater Lansing we have multiple beer festivals and celebrations when a new firkin is tapped.
Mention the word burger and I’m in. There is nothing like a good char-broiled juicy burger to satisfy my hunger. Make mine medium so that the center is pink. I give extra points when it drips down my wrists. If I don’t get messy, the burger probably wasn’t that good. I like everything from a simple cheeseburger deluxe to an olive burger or a fancy pants obi-wan-kobe-waygu-go-for-the-gold-patty-with-some-crazy-stinky-cheese-crumbles-on-top burger.
