I can't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than attending one of the most joyous

November is fast-becoming well-known as the month of gratitude and recently I have been reflecting on that very thing.
A few weeks back I experienced the loss of my father and although it has been incredibly sad, I have also found a way to set aside my grief long enough to count my blessings.

Aghhh! It’s already November and the shopping days ‘til Christmas are counting down, your holiday
You can take your kids to see Santa Claus any number of places this holiday season. But there’s only one train ride through the woods, past reindeer and along a river to Santa’s cabin at the “North Pole.”

Go ahead and wax poetic about the return of fall's color explosion, the cooler jeans-and-a-sweatshirt weather and the coming holiday spirit.
The pumpkins are carved, the orange twinkle lights are out and the race to get the biggest sugar rush is imminent. So before the big day comes around, how about finding even more Halloween fun? If you’re on the hunt for some spook-tacular events, the Lansing area has plenty of tricks and treats to keep adults, children and families entertained.
As a new Sales Manager with the Greater Lansing CVB I bring some unique insight to the position. Prior to my most recent meeting planning role with a state association, I spent 13 years in the hotel industry. Over the course of that time, I was a sales manager for Marriott hotels in 3 different large cities. At every stage of my career I have seen the value in partnering with Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVBs) to help bring meetings and events to those cities by participating in sales missions and site visits. I loved my CVB’s as a hotelier, but I had not yet learned how much more they would do for me later in life as a meeting and event planner!
So, you’ve been tasked with planning a company outing. (Gee, thanks, boss.) Or maybe a big family reunion. (Happy to do it, mom.) Need help? The Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) gives free assistance to professional meeting planners all the time, helping them pull off killer events in the Capital Region. The same rules of thumb apply to your gathering.
