Lori has been an enthusiastic cheerleader for the Lansing area for 15+ years. She still gets excited about all the fun things there are to see and do in her adopted hometown yet hasn't quite figured out how to fit everything she wants to do into a weekend. Favorite things include a fall afternoon tailgating and cheering the Spartans on to victory, a great classic car show like Car Capital in July, a stroll through one of the many beautiful horticulture gardens at MSU and a delicious dinner shared with family and friends at a local eatery. Her goal? Simple. It's to inspire people to love Lansing as much as she does! #LoveLansing

When there’s still a lot of sunlight after dinner and we’re in the midst of beautiful weather, who else besides me looks forward to relaxing and spending a couple of hours outside, just chilling and listening to some music?
With a slight chance of rain later in the day on Saturday, it looks like the forecast for Be A Tourist In Your Own Town this year is a good one. But it’s always a prudent idea to make provisions just in case the rain starts to fall.

There is a group of like-minded attractions that are open during Be A Tourist in Your Own Town this year that I think that folks will enjoy whether they’re eight or eighty years old. For sure, you could follow the crowds and hit up favorites like Impression 5 Science Center or Potter Park Zoo, but here’s a suggestion for something just a bit different and some of these things you just can’t do every day.
