As the Manager of Marketing Communications for the GLCVB and the Greater Lansing Sports Authority, Brendan handles numerous design, writing and media coordination responsibilities. March Magic Hoopfest is a true celebration of basketball, and what better possible timing? Mid-March is the best possible time for basketball, I mean every hoop-lovers dream. You've got prep basketball playoffs going on and the college ranks are preparing for the big tournament, brackets are flying around and everybody is keeping their eye on their favorite team and learning about the match-ups with possible opponents.

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) held its annual meeting on February 22nd, and announced both good news for the local economy and recognized numerous individuals with awards for vision, dedication and loyalty throughout the year.

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is proud to announce its was recently awarded Best Large CVB by the members of the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) at its Annual Association Choice Awards held last November at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place in East Lansing. This is the second year in a row the honor has been bestowed upon the GLCVB.

Proof that the Greater Lansing hospitality community is responding to growing visitation trends is showing all over town as the area welcomes five new hotels into the region. Two are currently under construction, three have been green-lighted for development. The new lodging properties, two in East Lansing, one in Delta Township, one in Okemos and another in Lansing Township near Eastwood Towne Center, will bring over 600 new guest rooms to the community.

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is pleased to announce Beth Hoschner, CTA, has been named Customer Relationship Management & Technology Systems Manager. She will direct the day to day management of the organization’s CRM system, provide CRM training to our members and partners and serve as liaison to the organization’s IT and technology providers.
