Do you ever walk into a reception room at a conference or convention feeling a little socially awkward and think, "Well, I've introduced myself - Now what do I talk about?!" I'm guessing a lot of you have been in this awkward and lonely boat. I’ve been to many mixers, event receptions and conference socials and the ones that have a unique signature cocktail make it very easy to start a conversation with someone you don’t know yet, but want to get to know better as a potential business contact.

Despite always saying that the only colors worth a dang around here are the Michigan State University colors of green and white, Greater Lansing has some pretty stunning foliage displays when Fall rolls around. Michigan's first and oldest zoo, this Lansing area landmark has provided visitors with the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals from around the world for more than a century.

Summer is in the home stretch, but there’s still time to make great family memories before school starts. In a few months we’ll all be hunkered down indoors for another Michigan winter, so it’s time to enjoy warm weather outdoor activities with your kids before they are back on the school bus.
